World Luxury Hotel & Spa Awards 2023

The goddess Minerva and our spa Minera have something in common: a close connection to Athens! Minerva is the Greek goddess Athena’s Roman equivalent, and our Spa & Acqua Minera was just awarded an award in Athens – the Best Luxury Theme Design Spa. Our Erwin travelled to Athens to be presented with the gleaming trophy which lit up his face lit up like the Acropolis under the sparkling night sky. 

The World Luxury Hotels are considered the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry. For the last 17 years, they have highlighted hotels, spas, restaurants and tourism specialists who offer their guests unique experiences, extraordinary offers, the best concepts and outstanding service. This year, our Spa & Acqua Minera received a Global Win in the category Best Luxury Theme Design Spa. The continental wins for our spa and hotel for Best Luxury Spa Design Theme and  Best Luxury Romantic and Wellness Hotel were just the icing on the cake.

World Luxury Awards 

The World Luxury Awards 2023 were presented on 28 October 2023 in the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Athens. The international awards were founded in 2006 by former hotel manager Brandon Lourens in South Africa. His objective was to create an international award and platform for pioneers, exemplary representatives of and specialists in the upscale hotel industry. The nomination process begins with entrants applying in the categories that best represent their hotel, spa or restaurant’s unique selling points. The World Luxury Commission selects the nominees based on verified guest reviews, and finally the winners are chosen during a public vote period lasting four weeks.
