We are over the moon that the Connoisseur Circle ranked us third on the list of South Tyrol’s best wellness hotels.
The idea of wellness above and below ground of our Minera Spa is unique in Europe and according to this ranking sets ‘completely new standards in terms of wellness’. Our wellness landscape stretching over 4,000 m² was singled out in particular. In 2019, our water world, Acqua Minera, was opened. From there, the large panorama windows provide a view of the surrounding mountains. The 20-metre swimming pool with the relaxation pool is also linked to the outside. The 17-metre outdoor pool and the whirlpool are heated throughout the year. There is also the natural pond outside in which guests stretch out for relaxation.
The Connoisseur Circle also gave our wellness options a special mention: ‘in the spa that is scented with hay and Alpine flowers, tired muscles relax in a rustic cavern environment in the Gallery Sauna (Stollensauna), Grotto Realm (Grottenreich), Silver Steam Boiler (Silber-Dampfkessel) or Organic Stove Chamber (Bio-Ofenkammerl). Magnificent Signature Beauty Treatments like the ‘Alpine Hammam’ (Alpen-Hamam), ‘Living Salt’ (Lebenssalz) or ‘Living Arol Pine’ (Zirben Vital) boost energy and the brand new Panorama Fitness or Gymnastics Yoga Room really get the circulation going again’.
The kitchen and the Bacchus Cellar (Bacchuskeller) with over 600 wines have proved to be very popular. Peter und Egon Volgger serve ‘gourmet-standard seasonal and regional South Tyrol delicacies and Mediterranean dishes’.

We are delighted about this commendation!
The 2021 Relax Guide has awarded Plunhof three lilies. Our Water World also won the Hotel and Spa Award 2020 and the World Luxury Spa Award 2019. In addition, Plunhof was one of the first hotels in South Tyrol to gain EU Ecolabel certification.
But the biggest award are the happy and serene expressions on our guests’ faces.
We open our doors again on 13 May.
